So I know once again it's been a while, but there is just too much that needs to be juggled around and really there is this stupid thing called sleep that's robbing me of precious hours every day – don't get me wrong I enjoy it but since the day only has 24 hours sometimes you just want to skip the sleeping and spend that time taking everything in...
It's been getting chilly and Indian Summer is almost over, I cannot describe how pretty it looks and even the picture will not do it justice:

But all beauty comes to an end, the leaves are falling and the last couple of nigths you could taste and smell the first chill in the air...yes it smelled like snow, and breathing in you could feel little ice crystals building up on your tongue, ok i might be exaggerating that one, but winter is just around the corner and you can tell...
apparently it will wait a little while longer and we'll have a week of rain and 15 to 18 degrees ahead but I don't believe that until I see it happening!

Above you can see some of my newest cheesiest photography that I could probably sell for a hell lot of money to tourists travelling through this beautiful country, but honestly that's what nature looks like over here! 4 days in the cottage, over Thanksgiving Weekend, were well, undescribeable – not only because of the amount of liquor consumed, but because you have never in your life seen this many stars at night until you've been out in the countryside of Canada. Luckily there were no encounters with bears, skunks or ghosts (yes ghosts would have been an option since we lived next to the haunted house, where the mansion owner shot himself in the 19th century and is supposed to be wandering the grounds of the area ever since...)
Yes this weekend was one to be remembered and maybe we'll return when we're in our 30s and want to travel back to all those happy memories that are documented on pictures but will only be alive in our hearts...

Leaving my little substitude family after those four days felt strange and weird, but weekly dinners make up for that!!!
And really if I was thankful for anything this Thanksgiving, besides having the chance of living in Montréal it is the people that are surrounding me and this is enough of me being all emotional about how I love my life... cause really life isn't always pink and blue, getting up at five a.m. after getting home at one from Boston is anything but enjoyable – and you can't even really complain about it if the only person to blame for that is yourself... but then there is times were it's just worth it. And the Auslandstreffen der Studienstiftung at Harvard in Boston was one of those things! Six hours road trip down south and a town that not only has to offer a pretty gorgeous campus but history and street artists that like to do adjustments to otherwise boring streetsigns :

Little advise to anyone visiting tha Harvard Campus just don't rub the foot of the statue at the center of the Campus, people might believe it's for good luck, but honestly for your own good stay far far away from touching it ;)
Since both last weekends were busy and away from home, this weekend I was in for some couch time and Montréal city culture for a change and luckily today I finally managed to catch a film at the festival du nouveau cinema. After a morning at the library (yes our library is open 24 hours seven days a week and sunday is actually quite busy) my afternoon was topped off with Mike Leigh's Another Year, highly enjoyable with a slice of depression and sadness to it... sadly it was the last day of the festival and as usual I feel like I've missed so many great films, but then that kind of is my life story and I am pretty sure everyone can relate to that feeling! And just to add one to everonyelse's list of things to do and see: movie tip of today, Once Were Warriors by Lee Tamahori.
So that was it from the other side for tonight, thanks for reading and please tune in the next time we’re on bisous Merle-Perle
